First you need to login to WHM. On the home screen you should see an "Account Information" icon. Click it. This brings you to a screen with several more icons - List Accounts, List Parked Domains, List Subdomains, List Suspended Accounts, Search Accounts, Show accounts over Quota, View Bandwidth Usage. These are fairly self evident in their functions. However, my favorite part of WHM is perhaps the "List Accounts" screen and this is what you need right now. The "List Accounts" page gives you an overview of all the accounts on the server if you are logged in as an admin, or a list of all accounts owned by you, if you are logged in as a reseller. You also get a quick summary of the following items, some useful, some not so much:
- Domain name (with a handy dandy hyperlink to check out the site if you wish).
- cPanel quicklink - this is extremely useful, allowing you to login to the cPanel account for the domain.
- The IP of the domain - this is another hyperlink, linking directly to your site as it appears on the server. This is very useful if you are in the process of migrating a domain to EZP and want to ensure the site is functioning before you change your nameservers! The magic that makes this work is an Apache mod called "mod_userdir".
- Username (max 8 chars).
- The contact email address.
- Setup Date.
- Partition.
- Quota (for disk space).
- Disk Used (disk space used).
- Package (what account package the domain is setup under).
- Theme (the cPanel theme used for the domain).
- Owner (which is you, if you are logged in as a reseller).
I'm sure you can agree, this is a very useful tool.
