How do I transfer my site(s) to EZP

From EZP Knowledge Base

If your current host uses cPanel, transferring your sites over to EZP is very easy! You only need to do the following:

  • Sign up with EZP.net! You will receive a welcome email with details on how to access cPanel, connect to your account with FTP, etc.
  •  Login to cPanel at your current host and make a full backup of your site. You can follow our knowledgebase article on how to make a full backup from within cPanel "here".
  •  Upload the full backup to your account with EZP.
  •  Submit a support ticket to us and we can restore your backup for you!

Alternatively, you could do the whole backup and restore process yourself if you like to be in control and your current host uses cPanel. Simple follow these steps:

  • Sign up with EZP.net! You will receive a welcome email with details on how to access cPanel, connect to your account with FTP, etc.
  • Login to cPanel at your current host and make two backups - a home directory backup and a mysql backup. You then need to restore these backups. You can follow our knowledgebase article here.

Also of note, if your current host uses cPanel, we will gladly transfer your domains to our server, granted you supply us with your cPanel url and login for your old host. We will then perform the full backup and restore ourselves and let you know when we are done!

If you don't have a current host and are just starting from scratch or your current doesn't use cPanel, you will simply have to upload your files to your EZP account via FTP. If you do run into any "issues", simply submit a support ticket and we'll help you out.
