We protect all our shared servers using R1Soft CDP Backups. This is an added layer of protection against that ever feared 'OOPS!'. While we are confident that these backups are helpful in many cases, it's still in your best interest, and your responsibility, to keep local backups on hand 'just in case'.

While not strictly neccesary from a website perspective, a dedicated IP separates your account from other accounts on the server. We use this to separate your email service from other users. What that means to you is if another client gets blacklisted it won't affect YOUR ability to send out email, and THAT is important.

When on a shared server, your files reside in the same storage space as other accounts. This can introduce some security issues. At EZP we utilize CageFS on our shared servers to make those issues 'moot'. With CageFS each account is presented with its own private 'copy' of the filesystem, with only THEIR files. So YOUR files are protected even if you make a mistake with permissions (that NEVER happens right?).

One of the worlds most popular control panels, cPanel give YOU control over your hosting account and provides many tools to make managing your site 'EZier'. Adding additional FTP accounts for developers, adding or removing email accounts, password protecting directories, or even custom dns entries. cPanel makes all of this easy for you.

Built into cPanel, addon domains are exactly that! You can host multiple domains under your account. Just point each one to a seperate home directory under your account. Each addon domain has its own DNS entries, email accounts, and ftp access.

Add as many email addresses as you need! You are only limited by the storage limits of your account. What else is there to say? :\ Go Canucks Go! :D

Having an on-site backup makes restores that much faster, as you won't be stuck uploading all your content to recover. While our backups are quite robust we always suggest that you have a local backup of any and all content... 'just in case'.

Sometimes CDP backups are overkill. cPanels built in backup function is quite adequate and makes restoring entire accounts very easy. To protect against hardware failure it's good to have those backups pushed to other hardware however. Our FTP backup space provides just that!

Our management service includes monitoring and pro-active response in the event of any detected problem. It also includes help with anything outside of /home on the server (In case that's not clear.. that means very specifically that we manage the SERVER and the services it provides, and not your WEBSITE). We provide an addon service that allows us to pipe your email through our in-house (aka Canadian) scanning cluster servers from SpamExperts that provide top notch anti-spam scanning for your domain. This will help to keep your email clean from unwanted spam. So you can focus on other important things. Like fried SPAM sandwiches. MMMmmmm..

IPv4 IP's are a very limited commodity these days. In fact, we can't even get any more. :| As such we provide a limited number of IP's per client. Back in the day you needed a dedicated IP for every SSL enabled site/service. With the introduction and widespread support of SNI, those days are behind us. However if you DO need additional IP's, for whatever reason, they can be purchased for a small additional monthly fee.
